Potato Cutlet
Potato can be named a staple food item in many countries and climate regions. Nowadays we cannot think a life without potatoes. It comes as French fries, salads, chips and the like. Here we are presenting a delicious potato cutlet recipe.
Ingredients for Potato Cutlet
potatoes 500 grams.
Sandwich toast bread 4 slices.
Green chilli finely chopped 2 nos.
chilli powder 1/2 tsp.
Garam masala powder 1 tsp.
Coriander leaves chopped 2 tablespoons.
Salt to taste.
Oil to fry.
Preparation of Potato Cutlet.
Cook the potatoes boiling them in a pot of water and when done allow to cool and peel the skin from them.
Now mash the potatoes and place it in a bowl. Chop the chillies and koriander leaves and add to the mashed potatoes in the bowl. Like wise add the chilli powder, garam masala powder and salt and mix well together.
Mash the bread pieces, if necessary add some water to the bread to mash them. Add the mashed bread to the potatoes mix and mix well together.
Make small balls out of the mixture, and flatten them a little pressing each between the palms of your hands.
Heat oil in a deep pan and deep fry the cutlets till golden brown.
When done take the cutlets from the oil using a sieve spoon and allow the excess oil to drain.
Serve along with ketchup, chutneys or achars or some other apt dips.
