Nine Fruits
Pulao
Bay leaves 2-3 nos
Cloves 10 nos
Cinnamon sticks a small piece
Saffron a pinch
Ghee/butter 2 tbsp
Sugar 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Cherries 10 nos
Grapes green and black (Seedless) 10 each
Apple 1 cut into small cubes
Pineapple pieces 2 tbsp
Raisins 1 tbsp
Orange slices cut into cubes 1 nos
Boiled green peas 2 Tbsp
Pomegranate seeds 2 tbsp
Strawberries a few
Preparation
Wash, rinse and cook the basmati
rice adding 1 litre water, saffron and a pinch of salt and keep aside.
Heat butter/ghee in a pan and add
cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, bay leaves and allow to splutter.
Add sugar, salt and rice and all the
fruits except strawberries and mix well.
Serve garnishing the rice with
strawberries.
