Sponge cake

Ingredients for Sponge Cake

Eggs 4 nos
All-purpose flour 250 gm.
Sugar 250 gm.
Baking powder ½ tsp.
Butter 2 Tbsp.
Vanilla essence ½ tsp
Milk 2 Tbsp.
orange juice 2 Tbsp.
Salt a pinch

Preparation of Sponge cake

Beat the eggs finely till it foams

Add the sugar in portions and mix it to the egg by beating it.

Mix the all-purpose flour and baking powder and add it gradually to the egg sugar mix and mix together.

Add orange juice and vanilla essence and mix well.

Heat the milk and add the butter to the lukewarm milk and add to the mix and join together.

Grease the cake moulds using butter and fill them half way with the batter.

Preheat the oven to 180°c.  Bake the cake for 20-25 minutes in the preheated oven at 180°c.
