Seer Fish Roast (Kerala Style)

Ingredients
Kingfish pieces 1 kg.
Onion finely chopped 2 nos.
Ginger finely chopped 2 Tbsp.
Garlic finely chopped 2 Tbsp.
Green chillies split 8 nos.
Ground cashew nuts/almonds 4 Tbsp.
Paprika powder (cashmir chilli powder) 2 tsp.
Chilli powder 2 tsp.
Tomatoes finely chopped 3 nos.
oil 4 Tbsp.
Curry leaves 2 sprig
salt to taste

Preparation of seer fish roast

heat oil in a pan, add chopped ginger and garlic and saute till its colour becomes golden brown.  Add the chopped onions and salt and saute well till it changes colour to golden brown.  Now add the green chillies, curry leaves, paprika powder and chilli powder and mix well.  Add the chopped tomatoes and mix well on reduced heat till all becomes a fine paste.  Add 250 ml. water, mix well and put the fish pieces into it and cook for 10-15 minutes.  add some more water ansd salt if needed.  when the fish is cooked add cashew/almond paste, gently mix together and remove from heat.
