Crabb Curry
(Njandu curry) kuttanadan style
Ingredients
Crabs peeled and cleaned 1 kg.Oil 4 Tbsp.
Onion finely chopped 1 nos,
Kudam puli (Garcinia cambogia) 2 pieces
Grated coconut 1 cup
Coriander 2 tbsp.
Fenugreek 2 tsp.
Red chilli powder 2 tsp.
Pepper powder 1 tsp.
Garlic peeled 20 cloves
Preparation of crab curry
Heat oil in a pan and fry the
garlic, grated coconut, coriander and fenugreek. Add red chilli powder and pepper powder and
grind to a fine paste and keep aside.
Heat 1 tsp. oil in a thick bottomed
pan and sauté the chopped onion.
Cook the crabs adding enough water, salt
and the cambogia (kudampuli) pieces.
When cooked add the ground paste and mix well.
