Khattiroll
Katiroll has its origin in Kalkutta
(formerly Calcutta) where it is served as a street food as well as in renowned
restaurants. Here is an easy to prepare
adaptation of the Katiroll
Ingredients.
Gram flour 200 gm.
Salt to tastePepper to taste
Turmeric powder 1/6 tsp
Green chillies chopped 2 nos
Tomatoes finely chopped 2 nos
Capsicum deseeded and finely chopped 2 nos
Spinach finely chopped ½ cup
Mushroom chopped ½ cup
Salt to taste
Oil as needed
Preparation
Mix gram flour. Salt, pepper and
turmeric powder adding some water to the consistency of dosa batter.
Heat a oil in a pan and saute all
the vegetables adding enough salt.
Heat a non-stick pan, grease it with
oil and pour the batter using a ladle and spread it thinly in the pan using the
ladle. When one side is cooked turn it
like dosa and cook on the other side also.
When done place two tablespoon full of the vegetables in the middle of
the dosa and roll it and serve.
You can also use Minced meat, potato
masala, stir-fried eggs etc instead of the vegetable filling.
