Aloo Bonda ( potato balls fried)
Ingredients.
Potatoes boiled and mashed 2 cups.
Rice flour 2 tbsp.
Urad dal flour 1 tbsp.
Chilli powder ¼ tsp
Turmeric powder a pinch.
Asafoetida powder a pinch. .
Gram flour/ besan flour 1 cups.
Red chillies broken 4 nos.
Salt to taste
Oil for frying
Preparation.
Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, urad dal, and red chillies and fry mildly and keep aside. Be careful not to burn the ingredients.
Mix rice flour, besan flour and asafoetida powder into a thick batter adding enough water and salt.
Mix mashed potatoes, salt, fried ingredients, turmeric powder and mix together. Make small balls out of the potato mix.
Heat oil in a pan, dip each potato ball in the besan batter and deep fry them in oil.
Serve along with tomatoe sauce, Chilli sauce, ketchup or self made dips.
