Vegetable Sandwich

Ingredients

Olive oil 1 tbsp
Tofu 8 oz cut into slices
Buns American sandwich buns 4 nos

For marinade

Garam masala powder  2 tsp
Salt 1 tsp
Cane sugar 1 tbsp
Thyme  chopped 2 tbsp
Pepper powder 1 tsp
Garlic cloves chopped 1 tsp
Spring onions chopped 2 tbsp
Olive oil 4 tbsp

For cabbage /carrot mix

Onion finely sliced 1 nos
Cabbage thinly sliced 1 cup
Carrot grated 2 nos
Vinegar 2tbsp
Olive oil 2 tbsp
Sugar 1 tbsp
Senf 1 tbsp

Preparation

Give all the ingredients for marinade in a mixer grinder and add it to the sliced tofu, mix well and marinate for at least 4 hours.  For better results keep it in a fridge. Otherwise it may become watery.

Mix all the ingredients for the cabbage carrot mix together and keep it in the fridge for at least 4 hours.  Meanwhile stirr it 2/3 times.

Heat oil in a pan and fry the marinated tofu for 2/3 minutes on each side,  toast the bread/buns crispy, slice into two, smear with mayonnaise, place tofu and the vegetable mix cover with the other half of the bun and serve.
