Prawn fried masala curry


Ingredients

Prawns medium sized (peeled and cleaned)

Onion Finely chopped
250 gm
Green chillies - sliced into two

Curry leaves
2 springs
Ginger finely chopped
1 tsp
Garlic finely chopped
1 tsp
Chilli powder
1 tsp
Cashmiri chilli powder
1 tbsp
Capsicum powder
1 tbsp
Coriander powder
1 tbsp
Turmeric powder
½ tsp
Meat masala
1 tsp

Tomato finely chopped
1 large
Salt
To taste

Coriander leaves
A bunch

 

Preparation

Mix the prawns with all the ingredients of group 2 well and allow to marinate for an hour.

Heat oil in a frying pan and the fry the prawns on both sides and keep aside. Heat 2-3 tbsp oil in another pan, saute chopped onion, green chillies, ginger, garlic and curry leaves. Then add chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, meat masala and stir well for a minute and add the chopped tomato and salt to it and mix well.

When tomato is cooked and turns into a paste add required water and allow to boil on medium heat.

Add the fried prawns to it and allow to cook till the gravy reaches the desired consistency. Remove from the heat and garnish with coriander leaves.

Can be served with a variety of dishes.
