Ingredients
Paneer
(cottage cheese) 200 gms
Chickpea
powder (Besan powder) 200 gms
Corn flour
1 tbsp.
Rice flour
1 ½ tbsp.
Red chilli
powder ½ tsp
Ginger
powder ½ tsp
Garlic
powder ½ tsp
Baking
powder ¼ tsp
Salt to
taste
Oil for
deep frying
Preparation
Slice and
cut the paneer into small pieces of 5 cm. size, and wash them in cold water and
allow to drain.
Make a
thick paste mixing chickpea powder, cornflour, rice flour, red chilli powder,
ginger powder, garlic powder, baking powder and salt adding enough water.
Heat oil in
a deep, heavy bottomed pan, dry each of the paneer pieces if it is wet using a
paper napkin (Kitchen tissue), dip in the batter fully that it is coated all
over with the batter and deep fry till golden brown
Serve with
sweet sour ketchup or chutneys.
