Masala Chai (Indian style spice tea or masala tea)


 


Fennel seeds powder 1 tablespoons 

Cinnamon powder 1 teaspoon 

Cardamom pods ground 10 nos.

Cloves ground 10 nos.

Milk 750 millilitre 

Water 750 millilitre 

Sugar 3 tablespoons 

Black tea bags 5 nos.

 

Method of preparation of masala tea/ masala chai 

 

Grind the cardamom pods and cloves and add it to the cinnamon powder and fennel powder and mix well.  Transfer it to an airtight container and keep aside.  

Boil milk and water in a vessel adding sugar. When boiling add one teaspoon of the ground spices.

Add the tea bags and allow to simmer at low heat for 2 minutes.

Remove from heat and serve with snacks.
