Chilli
Paneer (Indo-Chinese)
Ingredients
Paneer 200
gm (diced into small equal sized pieces)
Garlic
finely chopped 2 tsp
Ginger
finely chopped 1 Tbsp.
Onion
chopped a large one
Spring
onions chopped 3 tbsp.
Corn flour
1 tbsp.
Capsicum
green colour sliced 2 nos
Soya sauce
1 tbsp.
Tomato
sauce 2 tbsp.
Chilli
powder 1 tsp
Vinegar 1 tbsp.
Salt to
taste
Ingredients for marinating
Ginger
garlic paste 1 tsp
Cornflour 1
tbsp.
Pepper
powder ½ tsp
Salt to
taste
Mix all the
marinade ingredients together with water to a smart paste and marinate the
paneer pieces.
Heat oil in
a pan and shallow fry the paneer pieces turning them over till all sides become
golden brown. Remove from oil and keep
aside.
Heat 2 tbsp.
oil in a deep pan, saute garlic. Ginger, chopped onion, spring onions and then
add capsicum and saute for a few minutes.
Add chilli powder, tomato sauce, vinegar, soya sauce and salt and mix together. Mix 1 tbsp. cornflour in 100 ml water and add
to the chilli paneer and cook for another 5 minutes stirring well.
Garnish
with mint leaves or coriander leaves.
