Chicken Kuruma
Ingredients
Chicken (boneless) 1 kg.
Green
chillies finely chopped 5 nos
Onions
finely chopped 2 large ones
Tomatoes
finely chopped 2 large ones
Salt to
taste
Butter or
oil 2 tbsp
Onion
finely sliced 1 large
Grated coconut
½ cup
Ginger
finely chopped 1 tbsp
Garlic
finely chopped 1 tbsp
Chilli
powder 1 tbsp
Yogurt 250
ml
Coriander
leaves a small bunch
Preparation.
Wash and
cut the chicken into small pieces
Add green
chillies, chopped onion, tomatoes and salt, mix together and keep aside.
Heat oil in
a pan, add the sliced onions, chopped ginger and garlic and saute well till
golden brown. Now add chilli powder and turmeric powder and mix well. Add
the chicken and some water, mix well and cook for 20 minutes. Now add the
yogurt and ground coconut, mix together and cook further for 10-20 minutes and
remove from heat.
Garnish
with cilantro leaves and serve along with bread or rice.
