Preparation
Boil, deskin and mash the potatoes and keep
aside. Heat one tbsp. oil in a deep pan, add chopped cabbage and onion and
saute till cooked. Add masala powder, pepper powder, curry leaves/coriander
leaves and salt and mix well and remove from the heat and allow to cool.
When the cabbage mix becomes cool enough mix
it with the mashed potatoes and roll it to lemon sized balls. Press each ball
between your two palms to flatten them on a little. Beat the egg finely and dip
the cabbage cutlets in egg and then cover them with bread crumbs. Heat oil in a
deep pan and deep fry the cabbage cutlets till golden brown.
Good to serve as starter or as snack for
coffee or tea. Children will be delighted when served with a little ketchup.
