X’mas Biscuits
Saffron Biscuit
Ingredients
All-purpose flour

500 gm

Eggs
|
2 Nos
|
Sugar
|
150 gm
|
Oil (olive oil or sunflower oil)
|
50 ml
|
Baking powder
|
1 tsp
|
Saffron powder
|
A pinch dissolved in luke ware water
|
Preparation
Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl to
a fine batter.Cover the bowl and leave in the fridge for 30 minutes. Roll out the batter about 1 cm thick (thin). Cut out pieces of of forms with star shaped cutter. Place them on a baking tray prepared with baking paper.
Preheat oven to 180 – 200 C and bake the biscuits for about 15 minutes.
Tip – After baking leave the biscuits to cool and strew with a bit of powdered sugar.
Before baking brush, the biscuits with water or sugared water. This gives a special glitter to the biscuits.
