Linzer Spitzbuben (Linzer pointed buben/ Linzer Augen / Eyes)


Ingredients

All-purpose flour
250 gm
Butter
200 gm (at normal room temperature)
Eggs
2 Nos
Vanilla sugar
10 gm
Salt
A pinch
Cinnamon powder
2 tsp
Cloves powder
1 pinch
Almonds powder
100 gm
Himbeer jam
 
Powdered sugar
 

Preparation
Give butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, cinnamon and clove powder into a mixing bowl and beat/ whip it till all is good mixed and turns into a white colour.
Fold almond powder to it. Mix all-purpose flour portions wise to it and mix all together into a soft batter. Leave the batter cool in the fridge for an hour.
Now roll out the dough in 3-4 mm dick. Cut out Spitzbuben with decorative cutting forms. Stick a small hole on half of the spitzbuben, some round, some heart form and some smileys. Prepare a baking tray with baking paper (parchment) and place the spitzbuben and bake for 10 minutes at 180 C preheated oven.

When done, coat the backside of the biscuits and close it with the biscuits with holes and strew them with powdered sugar.
