Gooseberry Lemonade


Ingredients

Gooseberry
1 kg
Sugar
750 gm
Lemon Juice
4 tbsp



Preparation

Cook the gooseberries in a deep vessel adding enough water to cover all the gooseberries. When cooked well the gooseberries begin to split. Take the gooseberries out of water and allow to cool.  Keep the water aside for later use when cooled remove the seeds from the gooseberries.

Add the sugar to the gooseberry water kept aside and boil it till the sugar is completely dissolved. Add the deseeded gooseberries and cook on low heat till the gooseberries reach a light red colour. Now sieve the juice out using a clean linen cloth. Add the lemon juice and mix well.

Dilute with cold water and serve.

Very rich in vitamin C.
