Rice Kashmir
Ingredients for rice Kashmir
Rice 300 gmWater 350 ml
Butter (ghee) 2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Boneless chicken sliced into small pieces 400 gm
Onion 1 nos
Curry powder 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
All-purpose flour 1 tbsp
Chicken stock 200 ml
Fresh cream 200 ml
Canned mixed fruit cocktail 250 gm
Pepper to taste
Preparation of Rice Kashmir
Wash the rice and rinse it. Boil the water in
a deep pan, add salt and rice. Cover the
vessel and cook for 10 minutes on low flame till all the water is absorbed.
Heat butter in a pan and fry the chicken for
5-10 minutes remove from the pan and keep aside.
Chop the onion and
saute it in the rest oil in the pan, add curry powder, salt, turmeric powder
and all-purpose flour and saute for a minute stirring well. Add the chicken stock and half of the fresh
cream and allow to simmer for abour5 minutes.
Give the fruits and fried chicken pieces to the sauce and allow the whole
to be warm. Don`t overcook. Whip the rest of the fresh cream and add to
the sauce. Serve along with the rice.
