Banana fry

Ripe banana (Plantain)

Maida flour
|
1 cup
|
|
Turmeric powder
|
¼ tsp
|
|
Sugar
|
2 tbsp
|
|
Salt
|
to taste
|
|
Water
|
½ cup

Oil
|
For frying

Preparation
|

Peel plantains, cut into two
halves and slice each piece into two or three.
Mix flour, sugar, turmeric
powder and a pinch salt with ½ cup water and make a smooth batter.
Heat oil in a deep pan, dip
banana pieces in batter and fry till golden brown. Take out and spread on
kitchen napkins to drain excess oil.
Serve hot with tea or
coffee.
