Mushroom Pulav

Ingredients


Mushroom Finely sliced 200 gm.
Basmati rice 1 cups
Green peas 1/4 cups
Onion sliced 1 nos.
Ginger chopped 1 teaspoon
Cardamom 5 pods
Cloves 5 nos.
Garlic chopped 1 teaspoon
Cinnamon a small piece
Bay leaves 2
Butter 2 tablespoons
Lemon juice 1 tablespoons
Vegetable stock 2 cups
Salt if needed
Lemon slices to garnish

Preparation

Soak the basmati rice for an hour, rince and keep aside.

Heat butter in a vessel, add the cinnamon, cloves, bay leaves, cardamom and saute for two minutes, add the chopped onion, garlic and ginger and saute till golden brown.
Add the mushrooms and saute well.
Add the vegetable stock and bring to boil. Add the lemon juice and salt, rice and green peas and cook on low heat for 10 minutes with closed lids.
Serve hot along with chutneys or achar.
