Payar thoran
Ingredients
Payar (long beans) finely chopped
250 gm.
Onion – finely chopped
2 nos
Green chilli (sliced into two)
5 nos
Turmeric
¼ tsp
Garlic finely chopped
3-4 cloves
Oil
1 tbsp
Mustard seed
1 tsp
Curry leaves
1 spring
Coconut shredded
½ cup


preparation
Mince garlic, chilli and turmeric together. Add shredded coconut to this and mince coarse and set aside.
Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and allow spluttering, adding curry leaves, long beans and chopped onions adding a cup of water and cook on medium flame. Add salt and coconut mix and mix well and cook till dry.
Serve with rice.
