Naan Indian Style

Ingredients

*¼ Kg Wheat flour
2 tbsp Yoghurt
4 tbsp ghee ( Butter )
1 tsp sugar
200 ml Warm water
1 tsp yeast
Salt to taste

Preparation
|
· Dissolve yeast and sugar in
warm water stirring well and keep it aside for 15 minutes.
· Mix flour and salt
thoroughly in a vessel and add dissolved yeast 2 tbsp ghee (melted Butter),
and yoghurt to it and mix well. Take the dough from the vessel, place it on a
flat surface and knead it till it becomes soft, smooth and elastic. Make a
ball of it place it in a large vessel, cover the vessel with a wet cloth and
place in a warm place in a warm place for 1 – 2 hours till the dough is leavened.
At this time it becomes double the size.
· Take the dough frome the
vessel and knead well placing it on a flat surface. Divide it into 5-6 equal
pieces and knead them into balls. Flatten each pieces into round naans.
Preheat oven to its maximum. Brush naans with butter/ghee and grill them one
after another turning the sides. Take it out when puffy.
· Serve with chicken curry,
palak paneer, vegetable curry etc-
