Ingredients


Lever is a good source of iron and the use of it is recommended for anemic patients from ols times.  Here is an excellent way to prepare lever in a tasty food. 

Chicken/Mutton/Calf Liver  500 gram
Onion Finely Chopped  200 gram
Ginger Finely Chopped 1 Tbsp
Garlic finely chopped  1 Tbsp
Curry Leaves 1 Spring
Red Chilli powder  1 Tbsp
Turmeric powder ½ tsp
Pepper powder 1 tsp
Coriander powder 2 Tbsp
Cumi powder 174 tsp
Garam masala powder 1 tsp
Vinegar 1 Tbsp
Mustard seeds 172 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil as needed

Preparation


Cut lever into small pieces and marinate it with mixing chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala, cumin powder, vinegar and salt for an hour. Add little water and cook it on medium flame keeping the lid closed and stirring the entire now and then.

Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and allow to pop, then add ginger, garlic, onion and fry for a while. Add curry leaves, cooked lever and pepper to it and fry until dry. Serve hot with rice or cooked potatoes as side dish
