Ethakkai Pachadi ( Plantain Pachadi )
Ingredients
Ripe
plantain, peeled and cut into small pieces 2
Green chillis finely chopped 2
Turmeric
powder ¼ tspGreen chillis finely chopped 2
Yoghurt 250 ml
Grind the following into a smooth paste
Grated coconut ½ ( 1 cup)
mustard seeds ½ tsp
Green chilli 2 nos
For Seasoning
Ghee/butter 2 tsp
Mustard seeds 1 tsp
Curry leaves 1 spring
Onions finely chopped 3-5
dry chilli 2
Preparation
Cook
plantain with chopped chilli turmeric powder and salt. Add ground coconut,
mustard and chillies to cooked banana. Give great care to add just enough water
and not to overcook the mixture.
Just bring
the contents to boil and lower heat. Mix the Yoghurt to the content and take
off the stove.In a pan heat ghee/butter or oil, add mustard seeds, onion, curry leaves and dry chilli. Fry for 1-2 minutes and pour over pachadi.
Serve with rice-
